Inaugur\u00e9 en 1973 apr\u00e8s quatorze ans de travaux mouvement\u00e9s, il dresse ses voiles de b\u00e9ton blanc sur la rade de Sydney comme une sculpture surgissant des eaux. Son architecte danois, J\u00f8rn Utzon, remporta le concours international en 1957 avec un projet jug\u00e9 \u00e0 la fois fou et visionnaire.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aujourd&rsquo;hui class\u00e9 au patrimoine mondial de l&rsquo;UNESCO depuis 2007, l&rsquo;Op\u00e9ra accueille chaque ann\u00e9e plus de 1 500 repr\u00e9sentations et 1,2 million de spectateurs. Op\u00e9ra, ballet, th\u00e9\u00e2tre, concerts de jazz ou projections cin\u00e9matographiques : la programmation est aussi \u00e9clectique qu&rsquo;ambitieuse.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Au-del\u00e0 du spectacle, l&rsquo;\u00e9difice offre des visites guid\u00e9es pour d\u00e9couvrir ses coulisses et son histoire architecturale hors du commun.
